BBC SPORT – TV PRODUCTION ASSISTANT (work placement)


Date of Placement:10 days between 3 August and 13 August

Location:London – Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

Length:5 days

 

Role Responsibility

There will be two placements within the TV Production Team.

You will be helping out the Television Production team during the World Athletics Championships at the London Stadium Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The event runs for 10days from Friday 4th to Sunday 13th August 2017, and you may also be required for set-up days and Monday after the Championship ends.

You will bementored by the Production Management Team and duties may include running errands; assisting film crews; collecting and distributing press releases/orders of play etc; general office duties; assisting commentators /studio /production team including delivering refreshments.

You will have an opportunity to visit various parts of the whole media operation at the event and to find out something about the organisation of a major event. This is not a structured placement – it’s very much up to you to take the initiative throughout the placement.
