BCOMS’ Andrew Ducille named on the Football Black List

BCOMS’ very own Director of Operations Andrew Ducille has been named on the Football Black List for his commitment to the community.

Offering kind advice, a listening ear and expert guidance, Andrew has worked diligently to offer opportunities to those from underrepresented backgrounds.

He’s loved by all at BCOMS and inspires so many every day.

His experience has led him to oversee the daily running of BCOMS, where he successfully creates pathways, secures careers and influences industry changes for greater representation in the sports media industry.

To acknowledge his incredible work, the Football Black List are presenting him with a Community and Grassroots award.

Leon Mann MBE, founder of the Football Black List and BCOMS, said:

“Andrew was voted onto the Football Black List by a group of independent judges. This recognition is much deserved for all the important work Andrew does with BCOMS.

“He’s a game changer who has been making a real impact in communities for a long time now and we are very lucky to have him leading the way for BCOMS.”

Jack Badu, Programme Manager at BCOMS, added:

“Andrew is a massive inspiration in terms of someone who has a real passion for the work that he does. He understands the nature of the industry and puts 110% into everything that he does, he wants to do things with quality and he wants to do things that are impactful, he’s brilliant to work alongside.

“EDI is something that a lot of people say they have an understanding of, however to have lived experience working in the sports industry, as well as perspective of community sport and the benefits it can bring, I think that’s a great thing to have at BCOMS. Andrew has been a real asset to the organisation.

“It’s fantastic to see that he’s been given this recognition. Those that have worked with him know he is someone that has a real passion for what he does, but I think it’s fantastic to get that recognition.

“The Football Blacklist offers great opportunities to network but also acknowledges his years consistently delivering quality programmes. So, if this award opens up doors for him and BCOMS to make a further impact, that’s brilliant.”

Andrew’s award will be presented at the 2023 Football Black List on 21st March.

Founded in 2008 by sports journalists Leon Mann and Rodney Hinds, the Football Black List highlights trailblazers working across all areas of the game from the Black Community.

Everyone at BCOMS would like to say a huge congratulations to Andrew Ducille on receiving his award and thank him for his incredible work.
