CHELSEA CONTINUE PARTNERSHIP WITH BCOMS

Offering aspiring sports journalists from under-represented backgrounds access to journalism qualifications

After the success of the bursary programme last year Chelsea and BCOMS are offering another opportunity for 2 young aspiring journalists to access funding to complete the NCTJ course with News Associates in Twickenham. https://newsassociates.co.uk/

The bursary will see 2 aspiring journalists follow in the footsteps of Brian Matovu and Um-E-Aymen Babar who were successful in the bursary process last year. Both Um-E-Aymen and Brian since qualifying have secured full time positions with Arsenal and BBC Sport.

The bursary will completely cover the cost of the qualifications as well as offering a contribution towards living costs.

Applicants will be asked to submit a written, audio or video presentation on what the bursary would mean for them and why diversity within the sports media is important.
