Head of Content @ Premier League


 

Premier League is looking for a full-time Head of Content to be based at the Central London headquarters.

 

The role

 

In this demanding role, you will be required to commission and deliver a range of premium quality
content that appeals to the Premier League’s international fan base while complementing content
published by our member Clubs. You will devise and lead the digital content strategy for the Premier
League in a role that involves, but is not limited to, the following duties:

• Fulfilling the creative role within a dynamic and busy digital team, bringing flair, passion and
practical solutions to engage a growing global audience
• Assessing digital output to ensure a coherent approach is maintained across all channels
• Identifying and evaluating new opportunities and seeking creative ways to improve the existing
content mix
• Utilising an extensive contacts network to commission audio-visual and social assets and
manage the delivery process through to publication alongside the Editor
• Performing QA on commissioned content, routine features and creative assets to ensure the
Premier League’s exacting standards are met and maintained

• Working closely with the Editor on best practice for the delivery of complex messages via our
digital channels
• Collaborating with the Head of Digital Operations and our digital development partner to
identify platform improvements that support the Editor in the world-class delivery of our news
agenda
• Contributing to the development of a social media strategy that delivers timely and effective
contributions via Premier League channels
• Taking a lead role in gathering digital business requirements from internal departments for new
projects or events, devising appropriate digital solutions and overseeing delivery in order to meet
objectives
• Ensuring digital delivery remains at the core of new projects, that all opportunities are outlined
and explored in full
• Establishing excellent relationships with Commercial Partners to capitalise on opportunities to
activate and offer further support to their sponsorship throughout the year
• Engaging core suppliers on a regular basis, ensuring obligations are fulfilled and further
opportunities are fully exploited
• Working closely with agencies responsible for localisation in our key markets, understanding the
nuances of cultural context and supporting the Localisation Manager
• Demonstrating digital expertise to identify, evaluate and employ innovative solutions to achieve
brand growth
• Tracking the performance of content and using analytics to determine the nature, location and
timing of published content.
