Head of Social Media, BT Sport


Location –BT Sport Hub, Stratford

Remuneration – competitive salary, 25 days holiday, contributory pension, BT employee broadband/TV/Sport package, 10% on target bonus, car allowance, healthcare

 

This is a truly awesome role! If you want to cover (live) some of the biggest sporting events, running social media coverage and looking for innovative ways for us to connect to our followers in the fast paced world of social media. It would suit someone who loves sport (especially football and UFC) and that has crafted and created award winning social media content (including video) for leading brands.

 

What will you be doing?

 

You’ll be the creative force shaping and running BT Sport’s pioneering social media operation, from planning new rights launches to running live social coverage of the biggest events in sport.

 

We’re winning awards for best-in-class social media but we’re only at the start. You’ll have the ideas, drive, and intelligence to take us to the next level.

 

You‘ll be an innovative content creator and storyteller, with a track record of producing outstanding social video across multiple platforms, including looking into the future at platforms like VR and augmented reality.

 

You’ll manage and nurture all social media producers so every tweet or post is on point and on brand.

 

What will you have done before?

 

  • World-class social content creator
  • Evidence of producing innovative content across platforms
  • Evidence of top-class sporting knowledge, particularly football
  • Deep understanding of the fundamentals of short-form video
  • Experience of successfully managing people and teams
  • Very comfortable working with talent and broadcast people
  • Experience of using data insights to inform publishing decisions
  • Existing relationships with social networks and tech firms
