Journalism Trainee Scheme @ BBC

The Journalism Trainee Scheme runs in EnglandScotland and Wales. You only need to apply to one location for your application to be considered for all. The start date for this scheme is September 2019.

Please only apply once. Duplicate applications (i.e. applications for Journalism Trainee Scheme in England, as well as the Journalism Trainee Scheme in Scotland) will not be accepted. We cannot guarantee that you will be placed in your preferred location but will take your interest into account.

*The only exception to this if you are interested in the Gaelic Speaking Trainee or Welsh Speaking Trainee. In this case we need to test your language ability and so if you would like to be considered for Welsh speaking and English speaking you will need to apply twice.  If you would like to be considered for Gaelic speaking and English speaking you will need to apply twice. You can use the same application answers but of course you will need to answer in the appropriate language!
