APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITY: West Ham Utd – Press & PR Officer




Position Type: Fixed Term, 18 months

Salary: Competitive

Hours: Full-time + all home match days

Contract Type: This is initially a 12-18 month fixed term contract for an apprentice who will gain a Public Relations Assistant qualification.

Location: London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford

Closing date: 29th September

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the West Ham United media department for a Press & PR Officer.

The ideal candidate will need to have an interest and understanding of football, be hardworking, reliable and professional at all times, have a creative, outgoing character with accomplished communication skills and be able to work anti-social hours to include weekends and evening as requested.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and developing a bridge between the first team, management and administration staff, in particular media, commercial and the West Ham United Foundation, to deliver all commercial and community obligations.
  • Managing an on-going communications calendar including all player appearances and commercial obligations with first team involvement.
  • Creating and managing events and positive PR opportunities from inception to delivery, working with different internal and external stakeholders to deliver great results.
