What are you looking for?

BBC Sport, Wimbledon Work Experience Opportunity

Date of Placement: 10 days between Thursday 29th June – Monday 17th July 2017

Location: London

Length: 10 days

There will be four Placements within the TV Production Team and two Placements within the BBC’s International Unit.  Both placements will be similar.

You will be helping out the Television Production team and International Unit at Wimbledon during the tennis fortnight.  The Championships runs for 13 days from Monday 3 July to Sunday 16 July 2017, and you will also be required for set-up days/clear-up days the week beforehand and Monday after the Championship ends.  (There is usually no play on the middle Sunday 9th July and you would have a day off, but should play overrun and take place on that day, we would need you to be available).

You will be mentored by the Production Management Team and duties may include running errands; assisting film crews; collecting and distributing press releases/orders of play etc; general office duties; assisting commentators including delivering refreshments.

You will have an opportunity to visit various parts of the whole media operation at Wimbledon and to find out something about the organisation of a major event. This is not a structured placement – it’s very much up to you to take the initiative throughout the placement

Closing Date: May 2nd 2017
