🎉 Another day, another excellent masterclass hosted by BCOMS and the BBC, this time focussing on online news and social media
📰 This masterclass ranged from us looking at how to do our best piece of breaking news writing at the moment and ranging to how to make the perfect piece of social media and live texting
⚽️ With every skill we got taught, we had an opportunity to apply them in small groups via tasks we were set, with the most challenging arguably being the live texting.
🗣️ Not only was the masterclass great for learning more about skills to better ourselves in the media world, but it was also a great opportunity to talk to more people in the business, finding out their paths, such as Werra and her apprenticeship
Overall, the session benefited the whole group in more ways than one. Helping us to perfect the craft of feature writing, enhance our TikTok skills, quicken our writing and help us absorb more information when it comes to breaking news (and that’s just to name a few!)
Once again, thanks to the BBC and everyone who took time out of their schedule to speak to us and give us an opportunity we will never forget
