Broadcast Journalist @ IMG Studios (PLP)


 

Reporting to the Senior Producer, the Broadcast Journalist will assist with the output for our daily news programmes by taking responsibility for elements of the output.

 

Contract type: Fixed Term (until May 2019)

Location: London, Stockley Park

Salary: Competitive

 

Key responsibilities will include writing, cutting and voicing packages for broadcast; chasing on-the- day stories, especially when there is breaking news; generating story ideas and other ideas for content or treatment. Additionally, the successful candidate will help source the best news stories while always remaining conscious of the client’s wishes and corporate image.

 

Applicants must have a strong news sense with the ability to think creatively to help produce engaging television; be a good writer with a strong broadcast voice. Broad knowledge of the Premier League football is vital. Previous experience of working in a busy newsroom is preferable as is good contacts within Premier League football. An NCTJ or equivalent qualification in journalism is desirable.
