What are you looking for?

Community Sport Video Journalist @ ConnectSport

ConnectSport is seeking a competent London-based video journalist who can help us to deliver a series of short films demonstrating the impact of sport and physical activity in local communities.

ConnectSport is a free-to-join online directory of organisations using sport and physical activity to generate positive social outcomes. It also provides a not-for-profit media channel, and is the official media partner of the Sport for Development Coalition. Visit www.connectsport.co.uk.

The journalist can either be fully qualified, or part way through his or her training, but must have experience of filming, editing and producing short, dynamic films, preferably ones that showcase local people and places. Knowledge of Photoshop and graphics programmes would be an advantage.

She or he will work with the ConnectSport team to visit community sport projects in a variety of locations and venues across London, and be ready to work independently or as part of the team and under instruction. Full support will be given by former national journalists and media executives, and the end result will provide the journalist with a superb addition to his or her portfolio.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a good standard of written English and grammar, and be able to provide some examples of written work. This initial project may lead to further paid opportunities.

Period of project: February to April 2019.

Remuneration: Available on application.

To apply, send your CV and some examples of your work to hello@connectsport.co.uk

Closing date: Friday, February 8, 2019.

References will be required.
