Ecstatica: The North East’s New Football Fashion Movement

BY LAUREN HARTE

Football in the North East isn’t just a game. It’s a way of life. You don’t just watch football here; you breathe it. A new fashion brand is capturing that passion through bold and unapologetic designs.

Straight out of Newcastle, Ecstatica is reimagining football fashion with a fresh, vibrant take on iconic staples. Think vintage football shirts fused with the energy of 90s rave culture, loud, electrifying and full of life.

Founded by former Newcastle United footballer Anna Soulsby, Ecstatica embodies the euphoria its name suggests. Whether it’s the rush of a last-minute goal or the thrill of a festival, the brand is about wearing something that makes you feel invincible.

“Football shirts were never just kits, they were statements,” Soulsby explains. “I’ve lived and breathed football culture in the North East. I’ve felt the pride of wearing a shirt for my city, and I’ve seen how fashion can be a tool for self-expression.”

For the face of Ecstatica, Soulsby turned to Newcastle United footballer Jasmine McQuade, a player whose flair and personality perfectly represent the brand’s ethos.

But Ecstatica is about more than just football shirts, it’s a movement. Soulsby envisions it as a brand for anyone who doesn’t fit into a box, pushing boundaries at the intersection of football and fashion.

As football culture continues to evolve, Ecstatica is set to be a major player, proving that football fashion can be as dynamic as the game itself.
