Engineering Manager @ IMG Studios


 

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for leadership of the engineering support service team for Premier League Productions. The Engineering Manager will have total ownership of the Engineering Support Service for Premier League Productions, ensuring and maintaining the smooth running of PLP operations and a very high level of customer service, whilst ensuring other clients and the business activities of IMG Studios are not adversely impacted.

Location: London – Stockley Park

Salary: Competitive

 

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to: ensuring a clear exchange of information between PLP and all relevant parties in IMG studios, allowing production services to operate effectively and efficiently; be a knowledgeable and trusted source of information on current broadcast technology and how future developments could have an impact for PLP; providing PLP with expedient, clear and detailed technical and commercial information regarding their existing requirements and any potential upgrades or expansion plans. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the training and development of knowledge and experience within the Engineering Team, on the core equipment and software to ensure a consistent quality of support at all times.

Applicants must have previous operational experience as a TV Facilities Engineer with knowledge and firm understanding of studio and post-production equipment and workflow systems (both SD and HD). Strong understanding and knowledge of IT as well as thorough knowledge of TV production process is essential. Experience in a live sports/news or post-production environment vital.
