Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for providing financial and accounting assistance to the production team – dealing with all matters that arise during the course of production and providing regular “final cost” information to Heads of Production. This is a “sleeves up” role for someone who enjoys getting fully involved in a role and working as part of a busy team.

The role will involve ensuring vendor invoices are coded and authorised for payment; liaising with Accounts Payable on all payable issues; managing and reconciling the production floats and ensuring proper controls are maintained over cash advances; managing and reconciling expenditure incurred on the production credit cards; raising Client invoices and, ensuring that all the production costs are recharged to the relevant projects monthly on SAP and in Excel.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a financial or accounting environment, preferably within a television programme production business. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is vital, and previous experience of using SAP accounting system would be desirable.
