Getty Images is looking for an emerging female talent seeking a career in sports photography to take a paid intern position based in the Getty Images London office. The internship starts in July 2017 and runs for 12 months. The successful applicant will experience all aspects of the sport photography business at Getty Images, spending time with the picture desk, assignments team, field editing team, and will have the opportunity to hone their photography skills at sporting events with the guidance of the best sports photographers in the Industry.
We are open for applications until 31st March 2017. Following the close of applications, shortlisted applicants will be contacted and a follow up interview and portfolio review session will take place in April. All interviews and portfolio reviews for applications from outside the UK will be conducted online. The successful applicant will commence the internship at the beginning of July.
Applications are open to all aspiring female sport photographers. Undergraduates with a desire for a career in sports photography are encouraged to apply.
Canon will be providing a full professional kit to the successful applicant for the duration of the internship.
Applicants should submit the following:
· A portfolio of their 15 best images. This can include other genres of photography away from sport but must demonstrate style, technique, and passion for photography. The portfolio can include a photo essay, however this must consist of no more than 8 images. Submitted images can be colour or black and white. Editorial integrity is of the utmost importance to Getty Images and therefore any images submitted that use digital filters must be declared.
· CV and cover letter with links to any additional online galleries or websites.
