What are you looking for?

Producer/Trainer @ BT Sport

BT Sport are looking for an experienced Producer to join BT Sport to help mentor students through the TV production process. This is a short-term position for 7-8 weeks working 4 days per week, paid on day rate.

BT Sport are launching an exciting new project ‘BT Sport Take Over’ a magazine style studio show developed and produced by students, based on lifestyle, culture and events in the sporting world to be aired on BT Sport.

This project will be working with 17-20 year old students from the local boroughs of Hackney and Newham. The project aims to provide the students with an invaluable experience of working on a show created exclusively by them, under the guidance and expertise of industry professionals. BT Sport wants to represent its diverse audience and help develop a more diverse workforce by helping prepare the students to become ‘industry ready’ for future employment.

The Producer will oversee and help deliver this project; the successful applicant will need to be flexible in their thought processes, to not only demonstrate creativity, but to be able to understand the younger generation. We are looking for a person who has experience of managing a team and who has produced TV shows, magazine shows and short form content.

The ability to teach and mentor the group is essential and therefore extensive previous experience of coaching junior team members is key.
