You will play a key role in our national and international newsgathering. A key figure in the newsroom and on the road you will be expected to deliver breaking news, big name interviews and original journalism ~ Associate Editor, Sky Sports News
Your key responsibilities:
Reporting and presenting sports news on a variable shift pattern. Working closely with our newsdesk, output and digital teams you will ensure we are consistently producing high-quality, multi-platform content. A key part of your reporting duties will involve breaking and developing news stories.
•Deliver strong and creative journalism for all Sky Sports News platforms.
•React swiftly, authoritatively and informatively to any sports news story.
•Deliver agenda-setting interviews with key influencers in sport
•Attend media opportunities and quickly deliver new lines back to newsdesk.
•Work closely with production teams to ensure complicated and picture-light stories are delivered in the most interesting and informative way
•Liaise with senior output staff to ensure story telling remains creative, interesting and innovative and makes best use of technology
•Present Sky Sports News bulletins and Sky Sports News.
•Write for digital platforms
•Develop key sports contacts and bring your own stories to fruition.
•Be willing to work anywhere in the UK or abroad when required.
•Understand and demonstrate Sky’s purpose and values
