Role Description

BBC Radio Sport is looking for a senior programme maker to join our team; someone who has the experience to deliver our Monday Night Club with Mark Chapman and Ian Wright, The Friday Social with Darren Fletcher and Jermaine Jenas or take responsibility to oversee the production of the Sunday afternoon schedule which, from August 2019, will deliver the only live Premier League radio commentary in the UK.

Away from our live sport programming we would also like to hear from someone with the creativity, skills and experience to create the next strand of digital on demand audio to join our award winning podcasts, That Peter Crouch PodcastFootball Daily and Rugby Union Weekly.   

This is a role for someone with passion, skills and loads of real experience producing complex live sport output or podcast production.  A knowledge and background in radio production would be a great; but for the right person we think we can teach you the radio skills if you have the right talent.

Role Responsibility

The successful candidate will work in BBC Sport as part of our Radio & Digital team.  Working both individually and with others to develop treatments of the highest quality and deliver creative and engaging programme content; working with our On Air talent you will be able to write and edit scripts; using editing tools you will also have experience of packaging and editing material. You will be responsible for the production of distinctive Sport programmes – which may be live or recorded.
