Role Responsibility
Sub editors on the production desk, also known as Senior Broadcast Journalists (SBJs), are expected to do the following:
Are you the right candidate?
We need experienced freelance journalists, particularly those who have worked as sub editors in the newspaper industry or online, to comply and manage our large portfolio of content to the highest editorial and legal standards.
A consistency of approach, thorough knowledge of platforms and understanding of on-demand media is vital, as well as being able to work under pressure.
Proven editorial judgement and flair in a newsroom – where pictures, graphics, social media, video and stats are just as important as the written word – should be married with considerable experience in journalism, preferably at a national level.
