BBC Sport are looking for a Series Producer to join their Football programming. Please see below for more information on this role.

Role Responsibility

The Series Producer will lead and inspire teams to develop and deliver the full range of football programming for BBC Sport, ensuring that it achieves the highest creative and editorial standards, delivers on time and on budget, with adherence to BBC guidelines.

The successful candidate will need to be vastly experienced, an ‘industry leader’, innovative and able to bring new ideas to the output.  Evidence will be sought of where you have significantly influenced the look and feel of programming and how this was achieved.  

Working across a wide range of football programming at a senior level you must have excellent editorial judgement and knowledge of the target audience, their needs and expectations whilst also being prepared to look at bringing new audiences on board via multi-platform working.  An in depth understanding of the latest technologies will also be expected.

Are you the right candidate?

You should have a real passion for football, have proven experience of working at high profile sporting events and have substantial proven experience of directing and leading teams across a range of programming, both live and recorded.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate budgeting experience and have a thorough understanding of the costs associated with sports productions.

Experience of dealing with high profile presenters and pundits in highly pressurised environments is also expected.

As the role will include working alongside other broadcasters and governing bodies the successful candidate must also demonstrate a wide knowledge of the sport broadcasting industry and football in particular.
