Your Key Responsibilities

You will act as guardian of all video content on the Sky Sports Platforms. This is a key role that will help to ensure Sky Sports remains the destination of choice for sports fans, creates revenue opportunities and continues to add value to the Sky Sports subscription.

You will be responsible for imagery, headlines, synopsis and final publish of video on all Sky Sports digital platforms www.skysports.com, Sky Sports Mobile applications, Sky Sports for iPad and Sky Q), Sky Go and third party distribution channels.

You will also check and revise media content where necessary to tight deadlines ensuring output is presented to the highest possible standards.

Help curate the video display pages of the SSDM platforms, with emphasis on promoting valued content

Collaborate with multiple areas of Sky Sports to ensure we are producing aligned content that showcases the best of Sky Sports, and maintain good knowledge of current sporting issues while supporting your line manager and the rest of the team.

Your skills

We are ultimately looking for someone who is highly motivated and creative and able to embrace technology and change with a demonstrable passion and knowledge for Sport, in particular Football. General knowledge of content management systems and digital publishing

You have solid writing skills with a strong understanding of grammar and journalist principles with a general understanding of video editing equipment and its functions alongside an awareness of audience behaviour and emerging technology and platforms.

An established collaborative team player who is thorough, adaptable and organised in their work, with a clear understanding of the wider Sky Sports business including Now TV, SkyBet and the Social Platforms.

You are able to demonstrate working to tight deadlines and the ability to prioritise workload along with a calm detailed and methodical approach.
