The Daily Telegraph is looking for a Women’s Football Reporter. The role will encompass traditional forms of football reporting – matches, press conferences, analysis, features and interviewing – but will also provide the chance to develop strategies for telling stories on women’s football across social and digital channels.
News and match reporting both online and in print.
Writing engaging news, features and analysis.
Attendance at events and regular contribution of off-diary content.
Involvement in producing content across all Telegraph platforms, including video and audio.
Ensuring fast and accurate filing of copy.
Responsible for helping to maximise digital traffic through concise and interesting storytelling.
Requirements
Strong news sense and expertise in developing stories on digital and print platforms.
Proven ability to write news, match reports, features, analysis and comment.
Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with a strong network of relevant contacts (ideally within women’s football, but not necessarily)
Digitally savvy – understanding of digital storytelling and optimisation of content through social media and SEO across a range of platforms.
