What are you looking for?

Work Experience @ BBC – June & July Tennis Programming

BBC are looking for enthusiastic people to their TV Production Team to work across their tennis programming this coming June and July.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn on the job in a world-class organisation. You don’t need to have a media background you just need to show you have a passion and an aptitude for sport, television and production.

There will be four Placements within the TV Production Team.

You will be helping out the Television Production team at either Wimbledon, Queens or Eastbourne. The Wimbledon Championships run for 13 days from Monday 2 July to Sunday 15 July 2018, and you may also be required for set-up days/clear-up days the week beforehand and Monday after the Championship ends. (There is usually no play on the middle Sunday (8 July) and you would have a day off, but should play overrun and take place on that day, we would need you to be available). Queens runs from 18th June – 24th June and Eastbourne dates are 25th June – 30th June.

You will be mentored by the Production Management Team and duties may include running errands; assisting film crews; collecting and distributing press releases/orders of play etc; general office duties; assisting commentators including delivering refreshments.

You will have an opportunity to visit various parts of the whole media operation at Wimbledon and to find out something about the organisation of a major event. This is not a structured placement – it’s very much up to you to take the initiative throughout the placement.
