Job Title: Social Media and Content Intern

Organisation: Refresh Sports Consultancy and Production

Location: Old Street, London

Salary: Expenses paid

Hours: Two days (10am – 5pm) a week

Period: 3 months

 

 

About the Role:     

                                                            

Refresh Sports Consultancy and Production are taking on a Social Media and Content Intern to help with the not-for- profit organisations it manages – BCOMS (Black Collective of Media in Sport), Football Black List and the Sports People’s Think Tank (The SPTT).

 

The successful applicant will help to develop and deliver engaging written content for the initiatives’ platforms – under the guidance of the team. The ideal candidate will be interested in sport, media and have a strong understanding of the importance of diversity and athlete activism.

 

You will gain valuable experience working across social media, journalism and events while playing a key role in three high profile and widely respected not for profit organisations.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Working on written content development for BCOMS, Football Black List and the SPTT
  • Running all Social Media channels across BCOMS, SPTT and Football Black List
  • Create, deliver and monitor all newsletters across our charitable organisations
  • Sourcing jobs in the sport and media industries to share across platforms with our audiences
  • Supporting all staff in general administrative duties
  • Organising, documenting and potentially doing interviews (print and broadcast)
  • Keeping abreast of developments across our networks, including relevant industry happenings
  • Helping to forge links with other like-minded organisations and audiences via the company social media outlets

 

Person Specification:

 

  • Working knowledge of a variety of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Fluent English and strong written communication skills
  • An interest in sport, marketing/PR and diversity
  • A supportive team player with a positive can-do attitude
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple workloads
  • Of a personable, positive and outgoing disposition whilst maintaining a professional approach
  • Willingness to work out of office hours representing Refresh Sports Consultancy and Production externally

 

Desirable skills include:

Adobe Premiere editing skills, an ability to film on DSLR cameras and a knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop.

Good working knowledge of Social media
